Havesino High-Speed Film/Kraft Paper Slitting Machine Achieves 12mm Precision, Win The New Order from Guatemala
In 2024, we received an inquiry from a Guatemalan customer through our official website. He needed a machine capable of slitting very thick kraft paper and PS film. Based on his requirements, we initially recommended our CP-S1200C center winding slitting machine. However, the project seemed to be put on hold. In February 2025, we followed up with the customer and learned that the project had recently restarted. After internal discussions, their team refined their slitting requirements, requesting 12mm precision slitting. Since standard slitting machines typically handle a minimum width of 20–40mm, achieving 12mm was a rare and technically demanding challenge, especially in terms of tension control.
With over 20 years of experience in the film and paper slitting industry, Havesino quickly provided two tailored solutions:
Solution 1. A center type slitter rewinder model-cost-effective but limited in handling very thick materials at 12mm width.
Solution 2. A high-end HN1300 film slitter-customized with a circular knife system to achieve 12mm precision slitting while maintaining high production speed. This machine could handle materials up to 600 microns or thicker.
The customer was highly impressed with our approach and prioritized material thickness range and slitting precision in their decision-making. After reviewing Solution 2 in detail, they requested a demonstration video and a quotation.
As HN1300 is one of our best-selling and most stable models, we offered the customer a competitive price. They committed to placing an order, provided we could successfully demonstrate slitting 12mm or 15mm kraft paper. On the same day, our engineers conducted a test. Since a 12mm round knife holder wasn't readily available, we improvised with a 12mm razor knife holder. The results were outstanding-HN1300 achieved precise 12mm slitting with a maximum roll diameter of 250mm, exceeding the customer's expectations.

Initially, they were unsure if 12mm slitting was feasible, but after seeing the test results, they realized our customized HN1300 could perfectly meet their production needs. The next day, they arranged a 40% deposit to initiate production and planned to send us sample rolls of kraft paper and PS film for further testing before delivery.
Beyond being satisfied with Havesino's technical expertise and product transparency, the customer expressed interest in becoming a reference partner in Latin America, inviting potential buyers to visit their factory and observe the HN1300 in action.
The machine is scheduled to ship in late May, and the customer is eagerly awaiting its arrival, promising to share operational feedback videos.
