Different types of brakes
For Magnetic powder brakes
Application : Film and Foil materials with regular thickness from 12 to 400 Microns
Advantages : Precise tension control when slitting regular and thin film, low cost, meet most of slitting requirements.
Disadvantages : Output force is samll, easy to heat up, working life is shorter than air brake
For Air brakes
Application : Big diameter mother roll and thick film
Advantages :
1.The output force is greater than magnetic brake
2.It is not easy to heat up because it is controlled by the friction plate inside
3.Subsequent maintenance is easier and costs is lower than magnetic brake.
4.Long life using
Disadvantages :Tension control is not as accurate as magnetic brake when slitting thin film
