The slitting process is an indispensable and even a very critical process in the production process of film production, composite packaging, aluminum plating, cigarette packs, printing and other industries. The slitting process is generally the last step before packaging, and the quality of the slitting will directly affect the quality of the product.

Among the many factors affecting the quality of product use, the winding tightness of the film roll is very important, and the tightness control is moderate, which can not only ensure the quality of slitting, but also make up for the quality defects caused by the film making process. Improper, it will inevitably directly affect the quality of use of the product. There are several common methods for judging the winding tightness of the film on the slitter rewinder machine.

Finger pressure inspection method: The inspector squeezes the surface or end face of the film roll by hand to judge whether the winding tightness is appropriate. The advantages are that it is fast, intuitive, and highly reliable, but it requires a certain amount of experience, lacks data support, and is difficult to record.

Hardness measurement method: measure the winding tightness by using a durometer, which is supported by data. The advantage is that it is scientific, quantitative, convenient to record, and reduces disputes over differences in judgment.

Visual analysis method: Judging the winding situation of the film roll by visual inspection of the color change or end face shape of the end face of the film roll. For the same product, the darker the end face color, the tighter the winding, especially near the paper tube. The position where the winding is too tight is often black; for the shape of the end face, the star shape is the best basis for judging, the appearance of a single star may be the phenomenon of edge tightness of the film, and the appearance of double stars should be caused by the film roll being tight on the outside and loose on the inside. . The advantage of the visual method is that it is fast and accurate, but it can only analyze some individual winding problems and is not comprehensive enough.

Process tapping method: tap the film surface with fingers or a log stick during the slitting and winding process, and judge the tightness of the film roll through the feel and sound. This method can track the film roll from the inside to the outside. The tightness, accuracy and reliability are high, but because it will cause damage to the membrane surface and there is a certain risk in operation, operators currently use more methods.

In the daily slitting process, through the combined use of finger pressure inspection method, hardness measurement method and visual analysis method, there are enough means to accurately judge the tightness of the winding.
